Job Title: Government Affairs Senior Specialist
Job Summary:
Organon is seeking a highly skilled Government Affairs Senior Specialist to join our team in South Africa and SSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing policy and government affairs objectives across various areas such as healthcare reform, pricing, trade, and intellectual property protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze political and legislative developments to inform policy decisions
- Identify policy priorities and develop implementable strategies to achieve organizational goals
- Support policy projects in South Africa and SSA, collaborating with governmental entities and policy organizations
- Stay informed about current and future policy trends to ensure the company's interests are represented
- Drive policy plans to tackle health-specific challenges and mitigate risks
- Represent the company in various settings, including stakeholder engagement and advocacy
Requirements:
- Proactive self-starter with strong project management skills and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills, with a customer-centric focus and attention to detail
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public policy related to healthcare, with strong analytical and technical proficiency
- Experience working with high-level stakeholders and knowledge of healthcare policy process in South Africa and SSA
- Understanding of access and reimbursement environment, with a university or professional degree in a relevant field
