Operations Manager: Control Centre Team Lead

About the Role
Tracker South Africa is seeking a skilled Shift Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Monitoring Control Centre. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and a strong understanding of customer service principles.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in a call centre or customer service environment and 2 years in a supervisory position. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a willingness to work shifts are essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Excellence
- Supervise daily activities, focusing on efficient task completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Lead by example, setting a positive tone for the team and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Identify areas for improvement, implementing changes to enhance overall performance.
- Maintain accurate records of team performance, monitoring progress towards established goals.
Customer Engagement
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, providing timely and effective responses to customer inquiries.
- Manage the supervisor's inbox, resolving customer queries promptly and professionally.
- Escalate complex issues to senior management when necessary.
Trend Analysis and Signal Management
- Analyze signal trends, identifying opportunities to improve response times and optimize system performance.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurer and Skills Coach to address training needs and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate signal handovers, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to services.
Team Development
- Guide and mentor team members, helping them to reach their full potential and achieve career growth.
- Collaborate in developing individualized plans to enhance job satisfaction and performance.
- Mentor staff on procedures and best practices, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Business Acumen
- Apply business acumen to make informed decisions, balancing operational efficiency with customer satisfaction.
- Prioritize tasks, allocating resources effectively to meet business objectives.
- Communicate proactively with senior management, keeping them informed of important developments and challenges.
