Debtors Clerk (ideally from a logistics background) Kempton Park based.

Our client is seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Debtors Clerk. As a debtors clerk, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts and ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor customer accounts and ensure all invoices are generated accurately and on time - Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to customers
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers
- Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any variances or discrepancies
- Work closely with the finance team to analyze overdue accounts and implement collection strategies
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving any issues related to billing or collections

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Debtors Clerk and doing general finance duties in the freight forwarding industry (5 years) ideal but not essential.
- Proficiency in using Pastel accounting software - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadline

The role will also have the responsibility to cover for the Finance and Administration Controller whilst he/ she is on leave. For this on the job training (predominantly cashbook capturing and supplier reconciliations) will be given.
