Marketing Planning

**Responsibilities**:
- Create, plan, and execute brand strategies
- Allocate tasks, brief team members, and implement
- Update plans accordingly (following Marketing meetings etc)
- Develop and maintain ways of working for Marketing team members
- Manage an efficient Marketing production process and drive the effective use of marketing automation/online platforms
- Investigate the viability of launching new product/brands
- Attend strategic meetings with key customers along with the CEO and ensuring that action steps from the meetings are captured and executed.
- Act as custodian of Marketing strategies and central point of contact for any requests for tasks to be completed
- Coordinate regular Marketing meetings to ensure effective flow of decision making and communication
- Communicate and managing training requirements for team members (Sales and Marketing)
- Communicate with Merchandisers to get information about what is happening on ground level and how the company can respond
- Communicating with Sales Force to get information about what is happening on ground level
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders (who - sales team, agencies etc) regarding upcoming promotions
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve invoicing, shipping, and other ad-hoc issues
- Assist with the development of stock forecasts and ordering requirements based on upcoming promotions
- Assist CEO in the development of Brand Deals
- Drive effective use of planning methodologies across the organisation
- Ensuring that all tasks are tracked, allocated and managed effectively
- Interact with Marketing team members regarding forecast accuracy, comparing actuals to budgets and sales forecasts
- Maintain check lists and ensure completeness of activities for all tasks and events
- Managing of complete Marketing budget view (management overview) and tracking movement of budget between brands
- Conduct market research on the competitive environment that the parent company’s brands are operating in, and monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities
- Updating of supplier portals with product information as required
- Assisting the CEO with product pricing calculations
- Drawing data from various BI platforms and providing data-based insights to the CEO and Sales team to help drive direct sales to dental professionals
- Coordinate/facilitate training of internal and external stakeholders
- Support the execution of Marketing and Sales strategies
- Support the planning and execution of professional trade events
- Managing the workflow of Marketing Assistants
- Ensuring that all Marketing action steps are assigned and tracked
- Ensuring that brand budgets are updated and managed, that variances to Marketing budgets are investigated and explained in a timeous manner and that the overall Marketing budget across all brands to need exceed forecast
- Ensuring that budgets match planned activity for each brand.
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary marketing qualification, or BComm in Marketing
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in working with FMCG brands
- Experience with Dental Industry/pharmaceutical/health products preferable
- Experience in both B2B as well as B2C to Consumer Marketing
- Experience with eCommerce platforms
- Strong experience in planning and task management methodologies
- Experience in communicating with senior stakeholders
- Experience in Marketing budgeting and product pricing
- Strong team leadership and motivation requirements
- An understanding of workflow requirements and management of expectations of Marketing team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to drive change and create structured processes
- A strong ability to ensure focus and consistency in activities
- The confidence to manage expectations within the company of achievable goals and workload
- Ability to interact with and work together with external agencies and organisations
- Willing to assist with the planning and running of professional events/trade expos, which may happen outside normal working hours
- Own private transport and valid license.
