Our merchant partners include yourneighbour’s side-hustle e-commerce store, and names like Zando, Pick ‘nPay, Rain and Under Armour. For these partners and their customers, weaim to provide delightful experiences that make it as easy as possibleto facilitate online payments.
**Why we’re hiring for this role**:
We need help converting ecommerce merchants and soon-to-be ecommercemerchants into Peach Payments ecommerce merchants (yes, we say‘ecommerce merchants’ a lot around here - they’re our focus and reasonfor being).
But what does that mean? Consider the following questions and how you’ll help answer them:
- What do potential merchants need to understand how we can help their businesses grow?
- You’ll own what we show merchants and tell them about Peach and our productson our website, from homepage to product pages and blogs
- What are the best ways to communicate the features, benefits and value of our products and services to potential merchants?
- You’ll develop the language we use to describe what we do, and contribute copy across all our marketing efforts and assets, frequently also assistingthe Product, Operations and Strategic Projects teams with in-product and merchant communications
- What does our sales team need to have high quality conversations and succeed in a competitive market?
- You’ll develop sales collateral that answers merchant questions, showcases our success stories and positions Peach as a market leader
- How do we remove friction for our merchants?
- You’ll experiment with making processes smoother, and be a sounding board forproduct teams as they strive to solve merchant problems
- How do we generate demand for Peach’s products in a noisy marketplace?
- You’ll contribute product and market insights and creative campaign ideas todrive interest in our solutions, and contribute copy across all assetsin the campaign
- How do we make a lot of noise about new products and features?
- You’ll understand how our new products and features work and why they’revaluable to merchants, coordinate our go-to-market efforts and developthe required assets
- What are the hidden insights that help our understanding of the market and our ability to communicate our solutions?
- You’ll get stuck into the wealth of data we generate, and uncover trends thathelp us tell stories and build business cases. You’ll also talk tomerchants, often.
**Your mission if you choose to accept it**:
As our Product Marketing Manager, you will contribute towards improving the following KPIs:
- SME merchant revenue
- Lead/SQL/Acquisition/Trading Merchant numbers and conversion rates
- Product launch metrics
- Demand generation campaign metrics
**What we'd like you to have**:
- You have 3+ years working experience solving customer problems, ideally in a market-facing (marketing, sales, customer success) role for a B2B techcompany
- You are happy working with numbers and have the ability to be deeply analytical.
- You know how to write persuasively using data to make your point.
- You are comfortable representing us in social media by posting on behalf of the brand and using your personal social media profiles to engageonline communities and attract new leads and partners for the business
- You will be our first line of customer support in social media, workingwith our internal Operations team to route technical support requests
- Your understanding of the English language and your ability to wield it is exceptional
- You love technology and understanding the details of technical solutions
- You present ideas and communicate clearly and logically
- You give and take feedback constructively, respectfully and with theunderstanding that there is never an ‘I’ - there is always and only a‘we’
- You love telling stories, but understand the best practices of direct marketing
- You’re comfortable working in an ambiguous environment. We’re a scale-up, so building and honing processes is an ongoing thing
- You’re accessible, empathetic and humble - these qualities will make you a valuable team member
- You have an existing Work Authorisation/Permit to work in South Africa
**You’ll be a step ahead if you**:
- Have SEO experience
- Know paid digital advertising channels well (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn etc)
- Have community-building experience either offline or online
