Herotel is seeking a highly motivated **Program Manager** to join our Management Team in the Northern Region.

**About the role**: The Program Manager is responsible to assist the division (region) with program management initiatives to achieve tactical goals, project management on non-day-to-day activities, are the custodians of process efficiency and relates systems and provide training and support on BSS & OSS to operations for our offices in the following areas**:Ventersdorp, Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp, Pretoria, Nelspruit**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Leadership and management of the following functions**:

- Drive program management initiatives focused on the business unit's performance on tactical goals through the collection, analysis and tracking of data
- Contribute to the development of BU tactical goals
- Support the Business Unit with project management on all non-day-to-day activities
- Are the custodians of process efficiency and the related systems requirements this brings to the BU
- Provide user training and support on all digital systems

**Program Management**
- Ensure that Divisional tactics, targets, and projections regarding Program Management matters are clearly understood and can be delivered on.
- Develop operational plans in conjunction with Team Leaders, in accordance with the business plan.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet Program Management related demands and ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure that Team Leaders lead operational teams into action to execute plans by establishing daily, weekly, and monthly routines as well as running projects and ad-hoc activities.
- Establish controls in the process to ensure speed, cost, quality and risk metrics are achieved.
- Facilitate effective and ongoing cross-functional alignment with all other functions through the formal management discipline of Herotel's Management Operating System as well as the implementation and management of partnership agreements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.

**Leadership**
- Receive specific functional governance and guidance regarding policies, best practices and standards from NSO, but reports into the Operational Executive and the Level-3 Team.
- Lead and coach Level-2 Team Members to help them improve and to remain aligned to the tactical goals and culture of the business.
- Align the function with other divisions, functions and regions.
- Implement the Management Operating System discipline in the Program Management support function

**Education, Work Experience and Competency Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Program / Project Management.
- Minimum of 3 years in a management role in PM.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a PM department servicing a business unit of min 100 people.
- Relevant experience in the Telecommunications industry will be beneficial.
- Proven competency in leading an PM team, including the ability to analyze complex situations, identify and prioritize goals, and develop effective plans to achieve them.
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and implement plans.
- Results orientation and drive.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Decision making and sound judgment.
- Resilient, adaptable, and self-aware.
- Able to transfer knowledge and skills to others.
- Leadership and People Management (plan, organize, lead and control)
