Role Purpose

The purpose of the Junior Business Insights Specialist is to gather business requirements and interpret data in order to provide insights for improved business decision-making. The role will also make recommendations for continuous improvement efforts to enable business objectives and be responsible for supporting the automation of data-driven processes to eliminate inefficiencies in the business.
Requirements

**Experience and Qualifications**:
Qualifications:

- Grade 12 /Matric
- BCom Financial Management/ Economics/ Risk Management/ Investment Management /Informatics / Mathematics & Statistics

***Experience:

- 2-3 years working with data and process automation
- Understanding of Financial markets
- Understanding and knowledge of data analytics and interpretation
- Understanding and passion for process automation
- Advanced skill and experience working with Excel
- Experience with SQL Server, VBA, Qlikview and Python programming would be an added advantage
- Experience building dashboards in Power BI would be preferred
Duties & Responsibilities

**Responsibilities and Work outputs**
- Engage with business to understand their business intelligence and reporting requirements.
- Identify and analyse problems faced by business and propose BI solutions.
- Improve existing reports and models.
- Maintain and automate financial and sales reports and dashboards.
- Generating presentations using existing models.
- Generate business insights to support management decision-making.
- Automate data-driven processes.
- Test solutions to ensure business objectives have been satisfied.
- Provide support to end users to answer queries on any BI and reporting content.
- Act as the link between the Finance, IT and Back Office departments.
- Assist with Ad Hoc data requests.
- Stay up to date with current data and analytics tools and technologies.
