FINANCE Senior Professional Officer - Operating Budgets
**Requirements**:

- At least five (5) to eight (8) years’ relevant experience
- Knowledge of local government legislation, policies and

procedures, SAP FI/CO and PPM knowledge will be
advantageous
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Soft Office (Excel, etc.)
- Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to work under tight timeframes with various deadlines

Key Performance Areas
- Advise, assist and support line departments in respect of

the preparation and compilation of annual operating budget
as well as adjustment budgets in accordance with legislative
requirements.
- Advise, assist and support line departments in respect of

budgetary control and monitoring procedures in accordance
with statutory and internal requirements.
- Advise and ensure implementation of budgetary control

policies & procedures by line departments in order to comply
with statutory, internal requirements and to maintain integrity
of the operating budget.
- Analyse and provide financial information required for internal

and legislative reporting in accordance with prescribed
legislation; National or Provincial guidelines and
Organisational requirements.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required within the Operating Budget

Branch and Budgets Department.
