Below are the requirements for each category:
**Lecturer: Haematology**

**Qualifications**
- Minimum, an MSc in Haematology
- PhD or HPCSA registration will be an advantage

**Experiences**:

- At least 2 years’ experience employed in a tertiary institution.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in an haematology laboratory.
- Experience lecturing haematology
- Postgraduate supervision and publications.

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of appropriate lecturing methods
- Knowledge of appropriate assessment methods.
- Ability to mentor and supervise postgraduate students
- Computer literacy (MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Online/Virtual

presentations)
- Written and communication skills.

**Duties**:

- Offer lecturers in haematology modules or where required by the department.
- Develop lecturing material.
- Coordinate haematology modules
- Moderate and assess tests and exams
- Postgraduate student supervision.
- Assist in departmental management.

**Senior Lecturer: Haematology**

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum PhD in Haematology or MMED (Haematology)
- HPCSA registration will be an advantage

**Experience**:

- At least 5 years’ experience employed in a tertiary institute.
- At least 5 years’ experience of working in a haematology laboratory
- Experience lecturing and assessing haematology.
- Postgraduate supervision and publications (at least 3 SAPSE accredited

journals)

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of appropriate lecturing methods.
- Knowledge of appropriate assessment methods
- Ability to mentor and supervise postgraduate students
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Online/ Virtual

presentations)
- Written and communication skills.
