**LECTURER: MATHEMATICS **_(nGAP)_***

**Qualifications and requirements**:

- A Master’s degree (70% minimum) in Mathematics
- Two (02) years of teaching experience at tertiary level.
- Evidence of at least one (1) publication in **DHET - **accredited journals.
- Evidence of both national or international conference attendance and

presentation of papers.
- Ability to supervise research projects at Honours level.
- Some experience of community engagement activities.
- Commitment to undertake PhD studies soon after commencement of the

position of evidence of enrollment for PhD studies.
- Knowledge of and experience in various mathematical packages;
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be 40 years of age or younger.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Teach students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Conduct research in any of the branches of Mathematics
- Supervise research projects for Honours students in Mathematics.
- Engage in community outreach programme
- Perform any other duties/responsibilities, including, but not limited to

administrative duties, that may be assigned by the Head of Department.
