FINANCE Senior Professional Officer

**Requirements**:

- BTech/first degree in Finance or Accounting
- Five (5) to eight (8) years’ experience in a Financial or Accounting

environment
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- High degree of integrity and organised management skills
- Knowledge of computer systems pertaining to MS Office, SAP, PPM.

Key Performance Areas
- Manage the suite of technical data for reporting and financial

National grant funding received by the City of Cape Town in terms of

the relevant Grant Fund Frameworks (DORA) and national/provincial

Grant Policies
- Responsible to ensure compliance with the variable

technical/non-financial conditionality’s as contained in the Division

of Revenue Act, National Adjustment Budgets and the various

Provincial Gazettes related to all conditional Grants
- Responsible to, in consultation with internal Directorates and

external grant funders, consolidate and provide the full spectrum of

**financial reporting data to Head**: Grant Reporting as per the

provisions of legislation as applicable to the different grant funds

received by the City
- Responsible to identify, analyse and report on grant receipts and

non-financial delivery variances within the different grant funding

regimes
- Responsible for ensuring professional and operational skills training

for the full Department
- Responsible for the budget management of the Department.
