Requirements:

  • A B degree or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • At least five (5) years' appropriate postqualification technical and
managerial experience in the civil

  • Engineering sector.
  • Demonstrable experience in roads and stormwater; planning,
design and construction supervision.

  • Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, communication
and report writing skills.

  • Highly proficient computer skills that must include Microsoft Office,
AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D

  • Willingness to work after hours, including weekends and on cell
phone contact 24/- Physically fit.

  • A valid Code B driver's license.
Key Performance Areas

  • Undertaking detailed roads and stormwater infrastructure designs.
  • Undertaking site asset conditional assessments to prepare plans for
design work.

  • Updating road and stormwater infrastructure records to GIS.
  • Undertaking the management of transport, roads and stormwater
projects.

  • Supervising, and guiding the design work of junior staff in the office.
  • Preparing cost estimates for capital and operational projects.

  • Manage detailed checking procedures for all formal plans.
  • Liaise with professional service providers and all internal stakeholder
departments
