Senior Professional Officer

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Town and Regional Planning
  • Five (5) years' relevant postgraduate experience at an appropriate
level including two (2) years' related supervisory experience

  • Technical or professional registration with SACPLAN
  • Sound working knowledge of planning/local government legislation
and NEMA regulations

  • Computer literacy
  • A valid Code B driver's licence.
Key Performance Areas

  • Provide advice to applicants and developers regarding landuse
district offices

  • Ensure that legislated timeframes and protocols are met and
adhered to

  • Supervise and provide quality control about the processing of land
  • Assist in the development of landuse management policies and
processes

  • Provide advice and mentorship to junior staff
  • Undertake projects and tasks assigned.
