Senior Employee Relations Specialist

**BAND: EM - Johannesburg**:
**Purpose of the Job**:
To provide legal opinion on day-to-day labour matters and Employee Relations support by providing ER expert advice in the development and implementation of all Employee Relations interventions while maintaining effective relationships amongst all stakeholders thereby creating Management Practices which are consistent with Legislative Requirements and Industrial Relations Practices.

**What you’ll have done before**:
- Baseline:
- 8 years ER Specialist experience of centralized bargaining processes & CCMA/Council Representation with 3 years of CCMA/ Council Representation (employment litigation)
- Solid experience in presiding over Dispute Resolution on external forms (CCMA/ Bargaining Council)
- NQF 7 (bachelor’s degree in Labour Law/ Human Resources)
- Knowledge of relevant HR and Labour Law legislations
- Deep knowledge of dynamics of SA Labour Relations environment
- Experience working with Unions and engaging at Senior levels within the organization
- Advantageous:
- Post Grad Diploma in Labour Law/ LLB
- Law Qualification with specialization in Labour Law
- 2 years HR Generalist background
- Advanced persuasive skills

- Drive the Organisational restructuring processes in line with legislation
- Support business in managing the consultative forums to ensure efficient resolution of issues
- Operate effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Proactively stay abreast of legislation, align and update the internal processes and procedures
- Building employee relations skills in managing disciplinary processes and dispute resolutions across the business
