HR Officer
A permanent position for an experienced HR Officer is available within the manufacturing industry in Port Elizabeth.
Key Performance Areas:

- Support the HR Manager in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Provide sound HR support to internal stakeholders with up-to-date accurate relevant information when required.
- Arrange, schedule and co-ordinate training interventions as per the ATR and company skills matrix.
- Manage and update the skills matrix of all training required/planned and completed.
- Identify training needs for staff on all levels - internal and external and report the internal training needs to our training officer. (we have a set plan, the function will be for staff not performing up to standard. Follow up that training was done)
- Liaise with role players to ensure that training events, reports and tasks are completed within required timelines.
- Ensure accurate and systematic administration of all training records (attendance registers and cost of training) for all training interventions.
- Assist with BBBEE preparation.
- Co-ordinate appointment adverts, internal and external, source recruitment, screen applicants for interviews, arrange interviews and screen back ground checks.
- Ensure that relevant documentation is submitted by applicants.
- Ensure that job descriptions are periodically updated and maintained.
- Draft new job descriptions with the help of department managers.
- Co-ordinate onboarding and exit processes and ensure that relevant documentation is completed.
- Responsible for HR administrative function.
- Assist with information for quarterly HR Reports.
- Drive and maintain the performance appraisals process.
- Maintain staff records.
- Assist with draft staff contracts.
- Assist with disciplinary action with support from supervisors and managers
Minimum Job Requirements:

- A degree or diploma in Human Resource Management is essential.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR related working environment.
- Previous experience having worked as a HR Generalist in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Valid Code 8 drivers’ license.
- Own vehicle to be used during office hours.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and must be able to work autonomously.
- Good knowledge of employment equity is essential.
- Previous knowledge of HR processes and procedures is essential as well as a good knowledge of HR best practices.
