Claims Administrator

**Responsibilities**:
- Receive and review insurance claims forms, ensuring all necessary information is complete and accurate within SLA, so that there are no delays.
- Enter claim information into the company's database or claims management system accurately and promptly.
- Following up on all outstanding claim documents.
- Answering calls, and logging claims.
- Day-to-day administration and all other adhoc duties as and when required.
- Follow up on all outstanding claims documents to facilitate payment.
- Verify policy coverage, eligibility, and claimant information to determine the validity of claims.
- Communicate with policyholders, claimants, and insurance agents to gather additional information or documentation as needed.
- Investigate and evaluate the extent of loss or damage covered by insurance policies.
- Collaborate with adjusters, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve claim issues and expedite the claims process.
- Process claim payments, settlements, or denials in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of claims transactions, correspondence, and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding claim status, coverage, and resolution.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, policy changes, and best practices related to claims administration.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field
- 1 + year previous experience in claims administration, insurance, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with claims management software or systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess and resolve claim-related issues.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
**Salary**: Up to R7 000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pretoria, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
