Events and Corporate Manager

PURPOSE: This role reports to the Head of Institutional Advancement (IA). The primary purpose of the Events, and Corporate Manager is to drive, manage organisational events, the solicitation, cultivation, development, and marketing of fundraising efforts for Corporate Sponsorships. Lead, manage and market the Company to external third parties as a location for private events, shoots, and tours.

Corporate Sponsorships
- Develop a Corporate sponsorship plan together with the Head of IA for soliciting, cultivating of funds
- Initiate and drive collaboratively the corporate funding projects to maximise resources
- Set up, secure, and manage site visits for industry professionals to showcase what Zeitz MOCAA has to offer
- Research, source, solicit, maintain, and market to potential corporate clients the Company's offering for corporate sponsorship
- Engage and host clients for site inspections and orientations
- Attend networking events to maintain presence within corporates and market the Company
- Ongoing liaison with various Company teams/departments involved in the development and implementation of funds, events within the museum and the exterior environment
- Meeting stakeholder needs, managing renewals and negotiations
- Overseeing communication with sponsors, aligning business and market needs, and overseeing sponsorship strategy and leverage planning
Private Events Management

Develop processes, procedures and administration that ensure events and functions remain within the appropriate boundaries as befitting the nature of a museum of contemporary art and the art works housed within it
- Event coordination and management between the contracted event operator, The Aleit Group, and external providers.
- Source, maintain and market to potential clients: tour operators
- Track private event income and expenditure to ensure event revenue goals are met
- Continuously research and develop ideas in order for events to stay on trend
- Provide event expertise to internal departments executing their own event programmes
- Attend networking events to maintain presence within eventing, and tourism industries
- Ensure all onsite event processes and procedures are in place and are maintained and adhered to with regards to safety, noise control, the safety of art works etc.
Also develop and design Private Tours, Private Film and Photoshoots, Marketing, Department Management

**Qualifications**:

- Completed diploma or degree in Business Development, Sales and Marketing, Event Management, or an equivalent qualification
Experience
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a corporate fund-raising type role and event management
- Able and willing to work nights and weekends when required
- Project Management
- Sales and Marketing at corporate level
