**HR Manager duties and responsibilities**

The HR Manager is responsible for all planning regarding the human resources and development of a company’s workforce, and they must be able to transform all policies into executable plans and departmental procedures. Some of the daily responsibilities include:

- Manage all HR and IR policies and procedures
- Manage and advise on Recruitment Policy to ensure compliance
- Developing and Assessing reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and Operations to compile weekly and monthly report for Senior Management
- Develop and maintain Company Job Specifications
- Suggesting changes in policies and procedures based on employee, company and client needs
- Researching compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits
- Managing and creating recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws
- Supervising all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team
- Attending interdepartmental meetings with other managers
- Maintain good relationships between unions and the organization
- Ensuring Industrial Relation Function within the company, such as updating Company disciplinary procedure, advising managers on correct disciplinary actions to take, facilitate IR workshops and represent the organization at the CCMA (Conciliation and Arbitration), manage all employee legal claims with 3rd parties, such as civil and criminal claims
- Implement and Manage Employment Equity plans and submissions, Skills Development Plans and submissions, BEE Strategies through consultations with forums and committees internally and externally.
- Manage employee retention procedures.
- Manage employee Inductions and Trainings
- Update and Manage Contracts of Employment
- Yearly increase, Bonus schedules and letters to Finance and employees
- Managing Tax Directives, IT 180 for Learner's tax rebate
- Drive and ensure Health and Safety Standards in the Organization
- Manage Group payroll reports on systems and monthly payroll schedules
- Checking the payroll once all inputs have been made
- Managing IOD Claims, Death and Disability, medical claims
- Ensuring service certificates and DOL submissions.
- Managing Tools of Trade/ Company Assests

General
- Manage Company Client / customer service
- Managing the company's reception
- Assisting with HR Projects and events

Requirements and Skills Relevant to the Position
- Tertiary HR qualification or a minimum of 5 years in the HR Managment role.
- Sound knowledge of SA legislation including the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity act and Skills Development Act, Bargaining Council Main Agreement.
- Knowledge and experience in other HR Generalist activities would be an advantage
- Strong organizational and communication skills Good conflict resolution skills Ability to influence and negotiate Strong interpersonal skills (ability to work effectively across functions)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Meticulous Record Keeping
- Own Vehicle is essential and employee must be flexible to travel when required.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
