What will you do?
**A position of L&D Specialist**: Learning Experience Design (LXD) exists in Santam. This role may be based at Head Office Tygervalley or Alice Lane Sandton.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the science and the art of creating experiences that help learners fulfill the learning outcomes they desire, are executed in a user-centered and goal-directed way.
It fulfils the responsibility of holistic and user-empathetic approach where they will have to employ the principles of learning facilitation, information architecture, and people analytics. Instead of focusing on disparate learning components (e.g. instructional design), they have to design keeping in mind the system as a whole. They have to not only create learning experiences but also ensure that these align with strategic business goals. What will make you successful in this role?
Design of Learning Experiences - delivery of experience design maps that are visually appealing and easy to interpret which encompass the following elements:
**Strategy**: identifies the needs and goals of both the learner and the business.
**Requirements**: define exactly what’s needed from content to logistics, in order to achieve the strategic objectives.
**Structure**: establishes the flow of the learning experience by putting together the programme requirements in a way that suits the learner best. Inclusive of storyboarding, wireframing and content mapping.
**Interaction**: defines the way learners actually experiences the content, including activities, lectures/facilitation and assessment(s).
**Sensory**: sets the look and feel of the learning experience, including materials and communication.
**People management**: Day-to-day management of people responsibilities and performance of the designers.
**Project management**: Application of six sigma and lean management to project deliverables, plan and implement resources accordingly (inclusive of vendor management). Qualification
Relevant Diploma/Degree Knowledge and Experience
Experience Design 3 years
Curriculum Design 5 years
Short term insurance knowledge will be advantageous
Facilitator, assessor and moderator
**Skills**:
Excel
Powerpoint
Data analysis, interrogation, translation and manipulation
Adobe Creative Cloud suite (advantageous but not a determinant)
eLearning Authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Lectora, Articulate Storyline, RISE, etc.)
Computer literacy skills (Excel, Powerpoint, see skills required for full list)
Good communication, analytical thinking, decision making and problem solving skill
