- Supervise certain staff in the finance department
- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Reconcile bank accounts daily
- Assist with calculating inventory costing
- Complete tax calculations and forms (VAT, EMP201, etc.)
- Enter data, maintain records and create reports
- Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Prepare monthly management accounts

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- Proficiency in Pastel Partner and Sage 200 Evolution will be advantageous
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Be able to supervise staff in the finance department
