My client is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Administration Officer to join their team.

Areas of Responsibility (Your duties will include but are not limited to)

Applicant will perform various accounting and admin tasks, which will include, but not limited to the following:

- Full Bookkeeper to Balance Sheet tasks
- Debtors and Creditors management and reconciliations
- Preparation of financial reports i.e. cashbooks/bank reconciliations
- Responsible for all bank reconciliations and processing of transactions
- VAT, EMP201 & EMP501 and Tax submissions/queries
- Petty Cash and Cash flow management
- Accounting query management and support
- Client/Supplier liaison
- Daily/Weekly Project ledger generation
- Customer and Supplier invoice processing and management
- Payment processing and allocation
- Supplier ordering
- Monitoring and follow-up on debt collection and ageing debtor
- Office Administration and general admin
- Organizing business meetings and appointments (if and when required)
- Reminding the Director of important tasks and meetings
- Researching and presenting information needed by the Director
- Typing, compiling, and preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Filing and taking minutes

Knowledge, skills, and experience required

Educational Background
- Grade 12
- Speak/Write English and Afrikaans
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Sage Accounting & Sage Payroll is a prerequisite
- Accounting skills are needed
- Financial role within the construction industry is an advantage
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience and Qualifications will be given preference.
