Logistics Support Specialist - Oilfield Service & Equipment

Logistics team is responsible for processes and procedures related to Baker Hughes' shipping logistics and customs across borders. We manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers.

In this role you will manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers. Understands concepts, methods, procedures, and approaches.

**As a Logistics Specialist you will be responsible for**:

- Developing and leading end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up & delivery of goods.
- Managing Logistics Costs to meet budgets and Op Plans.
- Elaborating proposals for improvement in approaches, methods, procedures and processes in the own field.
- Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
- Using business systems and to generate the shipping documents.
- Performing the record keeping of the logistics documentation as per the policy & procedures
- Arranging required customs clearances shipping / receiving & packing activities

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Have at least a degree in a relevant field.
- Have 5 years' experience in Customs brokerage and freight forwarding.
- Have knowledge and experience in customs and excise and transportation taxes for import and export of goods.
- Have good working knowledge of principal modes of shipment, road, sea and air.
- Possess considerable knowledge of INCOTERMS, documentation and international customs requirements.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) & SAP
