The main purpose of this position is to provide professional Human Resource/IR (HR) administrative support to the Human Resource Department.

DUTIES

The duties include the following:

- Providing an effective Human Resource (HR & IR) administrative support and serving as a liaison for all administrative related queries.
- Monitoring the effective administration of employment conditions for employees.
- Coordinating the Recruitment and Selection activities and ensuring the relevant policies, processes and standards are followed.
- Mediating employee queries by communicating with employees about their documentation and answering specific questions and queries.
- Coordinating all activities relating to Performance Management and reporting performance management statistics to the Operations Manager and the Human Capital Manager.
- Ensuring all employees are trained on all HC policies, processes, and standards.
- Ensuring that all employees comply and adhere to the HC policies, processes, and standards.

© Adhere to all Bargaining councils’ SARPBAC rules and regulations, when dealing with staff documentations and benefits

© IOD Claim submissions.

© Administer all manual leave requests are processed on HRIS system.

© Issue UI19 and Maternity claim Forms

© Preparing employee contracts and offer letters.

© Conducting induction for all new employees

© Facilitation of provident fund withdrawals and death claims

© Distribution of IRP5s, provident fund statements.

© Registration of staff with regard to company benefits e.g. (provident fund and funeral cover)

© Maintaining recorded appointments, ratification of probation, promotions, transfers, remuneration structuring/salary adjustments, termination of service & disciplinary measures

© Ensure all new employees are registered on the HRIS System

© Collect, verify and submit payroll inputs

IR Administration

© Compilation of charge sheets

© Conduct incident investigation

© Scheduling disciplinary hearings

© Handling grievance procedures

© Issue warning and suspensions letters if needed

© Liaise with IR Consultant - Labour Net (on pending disciplinary cases and CCMA cases

© Follow-up with all managers on terminations documentation

© Ensure that terminations are captured and recorded on HR System

© Be informed and updated on the latest development in the Labour Law legislations

EDUCATION
- Diploma / Degree in Human Resource Management
- OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Ability to embrace the ethos of the Company and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Knowledge of the Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and all other applicable legislation
- Knowledge of SETA landscape and National Human Resource Strategy
- Understanding of Human Capital policies, processes, and standards.
- Strong administrative and Organisational skills
- Experience working on Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
- Detail oriented and sensitive to confidential information
- Good judgement and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
- The capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
