**_ Position Purpose:_**
The purpose of this position is to ensure accurate identification, reporting and monitoring of the PFMA violations and
associated reports and registers to ensure that TPT complies with the Regulations and standards of the PFMA Act.
**_ Position outputs:_**
1. Develop month end PFMA reporting processes and reports to ensure timeous identification and reporting of PFMA
violations. Ensure monthly violations are updated for total spend to ensure accuracy of PFMA loss reported.
2. Review PFMA reportable matters submitted from Regional and Functional PFMA Champions and ensure matters are
loaded on the PFMA reporting system timeously.
3. Proactively follow up on PFMA reportable matters to identify root causes and break in controls and implement corrective
action to prevent re-occurrence across TPT. Monitor PFMA reportable matters and track action plans and resolutions are
resolved by the due dates specified.
4. Proactively review the PFMA reporting system on a regular basis to ensure PFMA reportable matters are updated with
status and corrective action taken by management.
5. Review PFMA register on a regular basis to ensure closure of consequence management, determination tests,
condonations and write-offs.
6. Review PFMA reportable matters and ensure that the appropriate consequence management is taken against violators in
terms of ER Policy and practices.
7. Proactively engage with Regional and Functional PFMA Champions to identify any PFMA challenges and address to
PFMA reportable matters and classification thereof in terms of the PFMA Act.
8. Develop and implement PFMA initiatives to proactively identify PFMA reportable matters across TPT.
9. Identify, analyse and address data analytics and CCM dashboards to proactively identify PFMA violations and ensure
timeous reporting thereof.
10. Updating PFMA Control Compliance Plan, PFMA Control Framework and Control Self-Assessment to ensure controls are
in place to address PFMA risks and legislative requirements across TPT
11. Collaborate with functional departments eg SCM, Legal, HR to ensure closure of PFMA reportable items in terms of
PFMA.
12. Facilitate on behalf of the Senior Specialist: Loss Control the TPT PFMA Forum chaired by the CFO to address PFMA
reportable matters as well as status of management initiatives to reduce and report PFMA violations.
13. Facilitate month end PFMA reporting to the Senior Specialist: Loss Control, CFO, TPT FINCO, TPT EXCO, Group Loss
Control + PFMA Forum
14. Attend and drive actions from the Group Internal Control + PFMA forum to ensure PFMA risks is proactively identified and
mitigated across TPT
**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
Bÿ achelor’s degree or NQF level 7 equivalent in Accounting related.
ÿ Honours in Accounting or Auditing is required.
ÿ A Chartered Accountant will be added advantage
ÿ At least 3 - 4 years’ experience in an internal control or similar working environment and working with PFMA related
matters (or a similar environment) is required.
