We are looking to recruit a eCommerce Commercial Manager to work within our Marketing Department. The role will be based at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town and report to the Marketing Communications Executive.

**Job Purpose:
**To develop and lead the ecommerce strategy to unlock new growth levers, simultaneously, driving the trading performance of online channel to increase sales and margin through conversion rate optimisation, supplier market place, promotion strategies and digital initiatives. Deliver new customer acquisition and increase customer life time value through developing and implementing digital customer strategies.

**Job Objectives**:

- To develop and implement the clicks.co.za trading plan, identifying category opportunities (ensuring clicks has the widest health and beauty range online)
- To work with the merchandise team to accelerate supplier sourcing for new product/category ranges whilst ensuring the optimum supply chain contracts (e.g. Market place) are in place.
- To work with supply chain and planning to develop stock management strategies to maximise stock efficiencies whilst ensuring the endless aisle of health and beauty at Clicks and maximising availability.
- Develop and implement customer strategies for acquisition and increased life time value. This includes increasing returning customers through the management of excellent last mile fulfilment.
- Develop and implement site strategies to increase the average order value through cross-selling and up-selling.
- Develop and annual digital rate card to generate additional supplier investment. Ensure the rate cared is understood and promulgated across the business. Ensure campaign managers are trained to develop plans to support the rate card and supplier income. Use the rate card and supplier analytics to deliver digital supplier income targets.
- Develop and deliver a Conversion Rate Optimisation strategy that deploys a continuous, planned test and learn process to deliver continuous improvement. Use analytics and an understanding of site journeys to prioritise opportunities and maximise the business benefits.
- Conceptualise and deliver all initiatives and concepts to drive omni-channel marketing including in store screens, use of click and collect etc. Brief marketing (traditional ad digital) to deliver all commercial campaigns to support the execution of the trading plan and the customer strategies-specifically the optimisation of traffic to the website.
- Participate in the development (and implementation) of the ecommerce strategy including the identification and assessment of potential new business models and the identification of initiatives to increase sales and margin and reduce costs.

**Minimum requirements**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent-Bcom/Bus Sci/Business management or similar
- Further education in digital such as online courses

**Job Experience**:

- 10 years in a commercial trading environment preferably FMCG
- Experience of 3 years in line management and people development
- Proven track record of developing and implementing
- Experience in a digital trading environment

**Job knowledge**:

- Financial and commercial acumen
- Prior experience in running a P&L
- Experience in sourcing and growing a supplier base in new categories
- Understanding of supplier negotiations
- Trading environments specifically category management
- Understanding of buying and planning cycles
