ECOMMERCE MANAGER : RENOWNED GLOBAL HOMEWARE BRAND

We have a terrific, fully on-site opportunity for an experienced Mid-Senior eCommerce Manager at a renowned global homeware brand based in Somerset West. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, optimising the digital shopping experience, and aligning eCommerce operations with their overall business and marketing. We are on the lookout for a results-driven eCommerce Manager to oversee the commercial performance of the company's Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) online store.
It is essential that you have significant experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) to succeed in this role. However, considerable experience with an alternative platform and comprehension of its implications will be taken into account. This exciting role will see you working closely with Digital Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Service, IT, and Logistics to enhance the online customer journey, improve conversion rates, and maximise profitability. Responsibilities
- Commercial Performance & Trading: Own and drive the commercial performance of the eCommerce channel. Develop and execute a trading strategy to maximise sales, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value. Optimise pricing, promotions, and product positioning in line with business objectives. Collaborate with Marketing on seasonal plans, promotional campaigns, and business-as-usual (BAU) activities.
- Digital Marketing & Growth: Partner with Digital Marketing to ensure customer acquisition strategies drive high-quality traffic and conversions. Oversee SEO, PPC, email marketing, and affiliate/partnership programs to maximise sales and engagement. Identify and develop additional revenue streams, such as marketplace integrations and direct partnerships.
- Customer Experience & Merchandising: Ensure an exceptional online shopping experience, focusing on usability, speed, and personalisation. Manage site merchandising, including product recommendations, site search, and multivariate testing. Monitor and analyse user behaviour to continuously refine the online experience and increase conversion rates.
- Performance Analytics & Insights: Utilise Google Analytics, SFCC analytics, and other data tools to track key eCommerce metrics. Provide actionable insights to optimise site performance, product assortment, and customer journeys. Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and best-in-class eCommerce practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, logistics, and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfilment and post-purchase experience. Liaise with stakeholders across departments to align eCommerce initiatives with overall business goals.
- Additional Responsibilities: Carry out from time to time and as directed, tasks in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities.
Requirements
- Degree in Digital Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in eCommerce, with a focus on online sales performance and customer experience.
- Experience in the retail, homeware, or fashion industry (preferred).
- Strong experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) or a similar enterprise eCommerce platform.
- Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM), Merchandising Tooling, Personalisation, & Multivariate Testing.
- Understanding of Microsoft-based backend technology stacks.
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reporting, and forecasting).
- Experience with Google Analytics and other performance-tracking tools.
- Basic programming skills (desirable but not essential).
- Commercially driven – ability to drive revenue growth and optimise performance.
- Analytical mindset – capable of interpreting data and providing clear, actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills – able to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
- Attention to detail – ensures accuracy in execution and quality assurance.
- Problem-solving ability – tackles challenges proactively and adapts to change.
- Time management – able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Integrity & accountability – takes ownership of projects and delivers results.
