Job Summary:
The Interior Consultant Showroom Assistant provides support and assistance to interior consultants in a showroom setting. The assistant plays a vital role in creating a positive customer experience by providing excellent customer service, maintaining the showroom's appearance, and assisting customers with product selection and inquiries. This position requires a strong knowledge of interior design principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Customer Service: Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assist customers with their inquiries, provide product information, and offer guidance on design options based on their needs and preferences.

2. Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the showroom's product offerings, including furniture, lighting, flooring, window treatments, and accessories. Stay updated on industry trends and new product releases to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.

3. Showroom Maintenance: Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times. Arrange and display products in an appealing and visually pleasing manner. Restock merchandise as needed and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure product availability.

4. Sales Support: Collaborate with interior consultants to assist in the sales process. Prepare price quotes, product catalogs, and samples for customers. Follow up with customers to answer questions, provide additional information, and facilitate the sales process.

5. Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as managing customer databases, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records of customer interactions. Process sales orders and coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery of products.

6. Design Assistance: Support interior consultants in creating design concepts and mood boards for clients. Assist with space planning, color coordination, and material selection to help customers visualize their design ideas.

7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the interior consultant team, sharing knowledge and ideas to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the showroom. Assist colleagues when needed and maintain a positive and supportive work environment.

**Requirements**:
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or certification in interior design or a related field is a plus.

2. Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably in a showroom or interior design setting. Familiarity with interior design concepts, materials, and product specifications.

3. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service. Active listening skills to understand customer needs and preferences.

4. Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of interior design principles, furniture styles, and home decor trends. Familiarity with different materials, finishes, and construction techniques used in the industry.

5. Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer software, including MS Office Suite and design software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp. Ability to quickly learn and use showroom-specific software and technology.

6. Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain a well-organized showroom and manage administrative tasks efficiently.

7. Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and customer demands. Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the showroom's schedule.
