As a furniture showroom sales consultant, your primary responsibility is to assist customers in the selection and purchase of furniture products. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience. Here are some of the key duties and responsibilities:
1. Customer Assistance: Greet customers as they enter the showroom and offer your assistance. Listen to their needs, preferences, and budget constraints to understand their requirements effectively.

2. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the furniture products available in the showroom. Stay updated on the latest trends, styles, and features of different furniture items. This knowledge will help you guide customers and make appropriate recommendations.

3. Consultation and Guidance: Engage in conversations with customers to determine their preferences, such as style, size, color, and materials. Offer expert advice and suggestions based on their requirements to help them make informed decisions.

4. Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the features, functionality, and quality of different furniture items. Highlight the unique selling points and benefits of the products to persuade customers to make a purchase.

5. Sales and Upselling: Assist customers in selecting furniture pieces that meet their needs and budget. Present additional options, upgrades, or complementary products that may enhance their purchase or meet their specific requirements. Upselling is a common practice in retail sales to increase the value of each sale.

6. Order Processing: Help customers with the order process, including preparing sales orders, calculating pricing, confirming availability, and processing payments. Ensure accuracy in order details and complete all necessary paperwork.

7. Customer Service and After-Sales Support: Provide excellent customer service throughout the buying process and address any questions or concerns customers may have. Follow up with customers after their purchase to ensure their satisfaction and handle any issues or warranty claims that may arise.

8. Showroom Maintenance: Keep the showroom tidy, organized, and visually appealing. Ensure that furniture displays are well-presented and adequately stocked. Collaborate with the showroom team to maintain inventory levels and update pricing and product information as needed.

9. Market Awareness: Stay informed about competitors' products, pricing, and promotions. Continuously update your knowledge of the furniture industry and market trends to provide customers with accurate and up-to-date information.

10. Sales Targets and Reporting: Meet or exceed sales targets set by the showroom management. Provide regular sales reports and updates on customer feedback, preferences, and trends to the management team.
