**Job Purpose**:
Drives Project Managers, Workstreams, Stakeholders, process and customers to deliver projects that ultimately result in BCA achievement for DHL

Controls resources, revenue and capital costs against project budgets and BU Project Delivery Budget

Manages the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and project delivery for the Cluster

Line Management responsibility for core departmental Project Managers

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Leadership / Governance of BU Project Delivery and selected portfolio, programmes and projects (To Include Steering Committee/Sponsor Group attendance)
- Control resources, revenue and capital costs against project budgets and ensure adherence on Projects governing
- Lead/Conduct health checks and quality management reviews to review performance, identifying points of risk and making recommendations for improvements that lead to risk minimisation, BCA/SFBC benefit realisation and successful project delivery - focusing in on BU
- Responsible for managing and governing the DePICT project management methodology, risk management process and adherence to O2D.
- Support the BU Business Account/Development in preparing ITT/SFBC responses as the SME and presenting to potential customers
- Build strong working relationships and manage expectations of all stakeholders - Influencing and collaboration (Internal/External)
- Provide project leadership and constructive feedback to project teams
- Drives Project Managers, Workstreams, Stakeholders, process and customers to deliver projects that ultimately result in BCA achievement
- Full Line responsibility for Cluster Project Managers and Dotted line responsibility for all other Project Delivery team members
- Manage risks and ensure solutions to problems are implemented to protect DHL's reputation and financial bottom line
- Support the development of the project management strategy and deploy strategic project management initiatives
- Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and delivery of the Cluster projects to ensure that project goals and objectives are met within agreed upon time, scope, budget and resource requirements
- Leadership / Governance of BU Project Delivery and selected portfolio, programmes and projects (To Include Steering Committee/Sponsor Group attendance)
- Intervene in projects as required to ensure benefit realisation
- Drive the resolution of conflicts and issues
- Challenge scope changes to ensure benefit realisation
- Responsible for implementing the DePICT project management methodology and risk management process. Ensuring the Plan View system reflects the projects status at the end of every week.
- Act as a champion within project delivery for deploying project management and risk management standards, policies, training and development
- Lead/Conduct health checks and quality management reviews to review performance, identifying points of risk and making recommendations for improvements that lead to risk minimisation, BCA benefit realisation and successful project delivery
- Deliver best practice project documentation, completed to quality standards, kept upto date, available throughout the project and maintained in the project database
- Contribute and approve business cases and challenge the benefit realisation
- Review project portfolio performance against the business cases and implement action plans to ensure benefit realisation
- Deploy a health and safety culture
- Deploy previous lessons learnt output and feedback to drive continuous improvement
- support including:

- Costings, Project Plan production and customer presentations.
- Promote and support changes to continuously improve project management in alignment with international project management trends
- Work with project sponsors and stakeholders to forecast project resources and SME's required to support sales efforts and deliver the business benefits
- Support the development of the project management community and implement the people management strategy to deliver business benefits through: skills assessment, training programmes, processes and toolsets
- Line Management responsibility for BU Project Managers (Perm & Interims). Recruiting, selecting, training and project governance.
- Project Governance responsibility resulting in Performance Management of Project Team Members.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- 10+ years experience in Supply Chain Logistics (desirable) which can be gained within or outside DHL
- DePICT project management methodology (essential)
- ACT change management methodology (essential)
- DMAIC process improvement methodology (desirable)
- 10+ years experience in leadership roles (essential)
- O2D SME for the Region
- Ability to lead and manage a cross country, multicultural team (essential)
- Wider than Region experience is desirable
- University degree (desirable)
- Professional project management certification e.g. IPMA Level C (Level B if required), APM RPP, Ma
