Technical Key Account Manager

Our client is looking for a committed, energetic and proactive **Technical Key Accounts Manager (Beverage Packaging)** who will provide technical leadership to the current key accounts, provide sales support, and drive new beverage and finished goods sales.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers while actively looking for new avenues of business growth.
**This role can be based in either in Durban or Johannesburg.**
**Minimum Requirements**
- Degree (BComm Supply Chain, Accounting, Economics)
- 3 - 5 years relevant experience
- Technical machinery or maintenance service sales experience (beneficial)
- Strong and proven negotiation skills
- Ability to quickly and effectively identify opportunities for sales consistent with the operating model (ie. margin focus as opposed to volume focus)
- Extensive travel nationally
- Own vehicle - essential
- Outstanding written and oral communication
- Self-starter
**Responsibilities**
- Provide technical leadership within the business, owning the full value chain from booking, installing, commissioning, training and supporting the existing machinery installations at customers
- Drive profitable sales and support into the finished goods (including, but not limited to, Space Kraft and beverage packaging sales), machinery, spare parts, provide technical support and training
- Proactively manage the support needed for current customers and suppliers
- Proactively look for and develop new business
- Actively manage and grow the technical “know how” of suppliers involved in the support of machinery installations
- Risk Management (client default rate, minimisation of GRN issues, optimisation of local stock holding)
