Maintenance Coordinator

Medical Aid rate based on principal member only)- To be confirmed- Advert Closing Date- 24/2/2023- Job PurposeTo provide planning, controlling systems and implementing policies and strategies for the maintenance of buildings and equipment whilst optimizing the interface with end-users. The position also supports preventive maintenance as a strategy in maintaining University facility and utility systems, components, and equipment by assisting in the development, administration, and monitoring of preventive maintenance programs.
- Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience- A B.Sc./BTech Degree in the Built Environment and/or Engineering
- At least five (5) years' relevant experience
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- A valid driver's licence
- Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities- Ensure that the Maintenance Plan is executed
- Update and maintain the Maintenance Plan
- Ensure that the Standard Costing Process is in place and kept updated Manage service providers
- Establish budgets for Reactive and Planned Maintenance
- Manage budgets
- Ensure that maintenance of buildings/land is in compliance with relevant standards
- Inspection of buildings to ascertain any faults
- Performing regular inspections of equipment and supplies
- Perform appropriate administration duties
- Ensure that safety measure are observed & report health and safety issues
- Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Maintenance Manager
