URBAN MOBILITY Senior Professional Officer

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor’s degree, B Tech/Advanced Diploma in Science, Civil

Engineering or Information Technology.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in multi-modal transport

planning.
- High level of technical proficiency in data management, synthesis,

analysis and Interpretation.
- Demonstrable experience in public transport survey design,

planning and supervision.
- Demonstrable experience the use of computer programming tools

for data analysis and communication.
- Knowledge of relevant transport legislation and relevant local

government legislation and policies.
- Working knowledge of transport modelling principles, data

requirements and modelling software packages would be

advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license.

Key Performance Areas
- Facilitate, upgrade and maintain the City of Cape Town’s transport

reporting and analysis system.
- Improvement of the data management, administration and analysis

processes including collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting.
- Facilitate and co-ordinate communication and information flow

within the branch.
- Draw up reports, presentations and correspondence containing

complex information.
- Management of staff within the Transport Systems Analysis section.
- Management of projects/contracts in accordance with the

Contract Management Framework (CMF) of the City.
- General administration including responding to enquiries and

requests for services from clients, and safe keeping of

documentation.
