WATER AND SANITATION Senior Professional Officer

**Requirements**:

- B Degree or B Tech in the following fields (Civil/Mechanical/

Water Engineering/Project Management)
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Water Reticulation

and Maintenance operations
- Registration with professional engineering body will be an

added advantage.
- Proven project / contract management and administration

experience
- Proven supervisory skills
- Valid Driver’s License (Code B)
- Computer Skills (MS Office)

Key Performance Areas
- Manage, co-ordinate, control and be responsible, for Meter

Management

operations like meter replacements, projects and maintenance

whilst

protecting revenue in a customer centric environment
- Manages the key performance areas and result indicators

associated

with the research, development and implementation of best Meter

Management practices
- Defining/ adjusting the key performance indicators, job design

and role boundaries of personnel against service delivery

requirements
- Directs and controls outcomes associated with utilization,

productivity and performance of personnel
- Manage administrative staff aligned to core functions of the section
- Monitoring Contractor performance against agreed terms and

conditions through ongoing interaction with site personnel,

on-site inspections, etc and alerting the Contractor to any

acts of non-conformance.
- Implementing procedures to administer contracts and the

processing

of completion certificates and, verifying outcomes prior to

approving payment certificates.
- Prepares capital and operating estimates and controls expenditure

against the approved budget allocations,
