VACANCY - ADMINISTRATIVE AND BUILDING MANAGER
- The Citizen_ currently has a vacancy for an Admin and Building Manager in its Johannesburg Admin Department.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
Planning and layout of the print newspaper on a daily basis
- Adhere to set deadlines
- Determine advertising loading
- Liaise with Publisher on size of paper
- Liaise with Caxton Printers and The Citizen Circulation Department regarding print orders and number of newspaper pages
Staff management
- Responsible for the training and career development of admin and building maintenance employees reporting to him
- Mentoring of subordinates
Manage the Building Maintenance Division
- Responsible for the management of stock and consumables
- Ensure adherence to the Health and Safety Act at all required levels in order to maintain a work environment conducive to optimal productivity
Planning and execution of set annual budget
- Assess building requirements and material in terms of OHS requirements
- Set budget for all consumables including but not limited to staff refreshments, copy paper and stationery
**REQUIREMENTS**
**Skills**
- Capable of managing multiple tasks with an emphasis on retaining quality standards
- Ability to quickly assess and prioritise projects and office tasks
- Proficient at evaluating problems and quickly devising practical solutions
- Excellent MS Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent handyman skills
