To ensure efficient customer delivery and operations, Technical Product Engineering (TPE) is managing the introduction and technical standardisation of scalable products / services. Primary objectives include product and operational process optimising, and delivery of key Enterprise initiatives.

The goal is to facilitate and deliver the technical, operational and systemic enhancement requirements to improve the delivery and execution within the VBTS business environment.

The Technical Specialist is primarily responsible for facilitating technical requirement meetings and investigations to meet business requirements and to ensure that technically it is a viable business requirement. The Technical Specialist will identify the high-level solution for the requirement and collaborate with the various delivery partners to design and implement the solution.

The Technical Specialist will act as a technical expert for all operational and deployment tasks related to the technologies, products and optimisation initiatives, he/she is assigned to.

**Key Requirements**:

- 2 years’ experience as a Business/ System Analyst or Technical Specialist.
- Must have experience in a technical environment with proficiency in working with repeatable work cycles and other iterative tasks.
- Technical telco experience is preferred.
- Diploma or degree in IT or Engineering is preferred.
- Certifications/ experience in the following is an advantage:

- ITIL certification.
- JIRA Administration.
- Project Management qualifications
- SCRUM
- IT / technology frameworks
- Tibco Nimbus/ Process mapping

**Desirable Skills**:

- Communicate with a variety of different audiences and have good presentation skills.
- Be able to effectively balance business and technical acumen with both technical and non-technical audiences (written and verbal communication skills).
- Note taking, interpretation and summarizing.
- Demonstrate excellence in interpersonal skills, especially in situations involving consensus and team building with strong problem-solving skills.
- Be the calm in the storm to support cross functional teams and business stakeholders through the ups and downs of projects.
- Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to influence others in these areas.
- Forward-thinking.
- Balance multiple priorities and deliverables to maintain forward progress and ensure customer expectations are met.
- Handle customer critical issues and work in difficult situations.
- Evaluate business requirements, translate them into technical specifications for development and implementation to ensure appropriate product solutions or optimisation initiatives transition to operations.

**Roles/Responsibilities and Key Focus Areas**:

- Identify and implement improvements to support business and technology efficiencies.
- Conduct process workshops and meetings professionally with stakeholders to gather information; facilitate requirements meetings to establish detailed requirements with both the technical and business resources for assigned projects or initiatives.
- Scope initiatives, investigate and report on project progress.
- Create business optimisation proposals (and recommendations).
- Create functional and technical requirement, design, model and framework artefacts as required per initiative (fit for purpose).
- Draft solution documentation to define effective, mature and efficient solution(s) based on the agreed requirements.
- Complete planning, feedback and reports as and when requested by the Scrum Master(s) and Management.
- Map, analyze and document as-is and to-be processes, designs, and other relevant artefacts.
- Maintain processes; assist with process repository support and administration where required.
- Facilitate Change Control and support training, deployment and adoption of changes. (Including system changes that impact process).
- Create test cases and manage the testing process if required.
- Verify delivered systems and solutions are ready for operations and still meet the customers’ requirements.
- Manage progress reporting on deliverables; ensure that reporting and analytics are delivered as required.
