**_JOB TITLE: _**_Automation Technical Specialist MEA_**

**_DEPARTMENT: Centre of Excellence_**

**_REPORTING TO: PMO Manager _**

**_LOCATION: Johannesburg_**

**_ADDITIONAL INFO: _**_Valid driver’s licence and own transport_

**_PURPOSE OF POSITION_**
- To support the Contractors and Customers in the MEA Region during the project’s implementation phase. Prepare the installation procedures and secure technical trainings, ensure on-site and remote support for the Retail, Mining, Commercial and Fleet projects,Ensure quality assurance for different projects technical deliverables_

**_KEY RESPONSIBILITIES_**
- _Ensure Gilbarco Veeder-Root Health & Safety procedures and policy compliance_
- _Comply with every approved operation and installation procedures._
- _Ensure availability for evening and weekend stand-by duty outs._
- _Provide necessary field installation support to Contactors remotely or on Site for the implementation of the project scope. _
- _Conduct technical trainings when requested for Contactors or Customers remotely or on Site for the implementation of the project scope. _
- _Ensure all projects technical deliverables are quality assured before handover to support_
- _Assist centre of excellence team as needed, in providing after sales technical support remotely or on Site. _
- _Continuously expand knowledge of products, services, and features within our portfolio by collaborating with internal and external parties_
- _Create standard work and procedures as needed by the organization and project scope. _
- _Creating of Image as per project scope per Country and customer _
- _Prepare the installation staging and deployments procedures and checklists_
- _Support sales staff by creating a detailed Equipment BOM (Bill of Martial) to ensure that the project needs are filled to customer specification._
- _Managing of Project on a technical basis to ensure that the highest installation quality is adhered to_
- _Daily management of the contractor technician to ensure we adhere to the project timeline_
- _Daily management internally and with the customers (Daily, Weekly and Monthly meeting)_
- _Logging Faults or Bug with equipment or software with the supplier(s)_

**PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**

**Education/achievements**
- IT or Automation Engineer
- Electrical or Electronics Background (preferred)

- 5 years’ experience in similar field
