Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes- Eligible for appointment as professor, preferably in an academic discipline within the Faculty of Science or a closely related science discipline;- Recognised academic standing;- Proven experience within a higher education institution, Science Council or similar environment;- Appropriate senior management experience at Faculty and institutional level;- Evidence of recognised national and international networks, including experience in developing international partnerships;- Evidence of innovative, compassionate, inclusive and dynamic leadership;- Sound knowledge, insight and vision about the higher education sector and research funding landscape;- Sound interpersonal relations and liaison skills.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling- Experience in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research and fundraising;- Experience of networking with industry, business, international networks or other quadruple helix partners will be an advantage.
