Product Head: Documentary Trade

**Job Purpose**
- Deliver on the overall client and product line strategy in a profitable way whilst owning the value creation in the end-to-end value chain for
- **Documentary Trade product portfolio**. Execute and lead the product commerciality by driving a digital culture shift through digitisation in a holistic manner in line with Cluster goals for Transactional Services and CIB.**Responsibilities**:
**Financial**:
- Manage and deliver on the product P&L to achieve the agreed financial objectives by driving sustainable growth, ownership and performance for product and Sales within Transactional Services and CIB
- Drive financial objectives supporting the organisational budgeting process through driving reporting and monitoring of organisational financial performance
- Drive, develop and manage client growth by identifying product opportunities to grow primary banker status, portfolio optimisation and ensuring commercialisation
- Manage the value chain health and profitability of all products within the portfolio
- Execute on the refund app for product & conduct root cause analysis and execution of remedial actions and development of preventative measures
**Customer**:
- Participate in client engagements to determine assist with sales, understanding client needs, and ensure product health and utilisation
- Responsible for product CVP and the end-to-end value chain to create seamless client experiences and innovative solutions around touch point optimisation with digital self service capability
- Deliver a world-class service by ensuring a client centric culture.
**Product Management**:
- Drive a product vision with a long-term strategic framework across sector and client whilst incorporating product lifecycle management
- Drive the Digital first strategy creating cohesion between segment, channel and product
- Manage the product innovation funnel, including prioritisation, costs, timelines, complexity and Client Experience
- Lead and influence collaboration across TS, cluster and juristic to achieve the distinctive client-centred strategy.
**Stakeholder Management**:
- Collaboration with stakeholders for commercialisation, compliance, people, technology, support, operationalisation, value management and servicing
- Responsible for vendor and partner collaboration and management Industry: Ensure reporting to industry bodies in line with regulatory requirements and create feedback loop into product development
- External & Internal stakeholder management through effective reporting and communication across Nedbank Driving ideation and execution whilst ensuring appropriate contribution in strategic engagements & reforms
- Performance against targets set for regulatory compliance, risk management/risk appetite, internal audit, market conduct and other business process obligations.
**Industry**:
- Ensure reporting to industry bodies in line with regulatory requirements and create feedback loop into product development
- Driving ideation and execution whilst ensuring appropriate contribution in strategic engagements & reforms
- Performance against targets set for regulatory compliance, risk management/risk appetite, internal audit, market conduct and other business process obligation
**Risk, Internal Audit & Compliance**:
- Prevent loss and risk, enforce internal controls and ensure staff adherence through the implementation of effective management processes.
- Engage Business Analyst to re-engineer required processes to ensure efficacy and adequate risk control.
**People**:
- Manage team effectively and efficiently across the HR value chain including recruitment, performance management, retention of critical staff, succession planning and coaching and talent management.
- Managing performance of direct reports and holding them accountable for managing the performance of their direct subordinates
**Minimum Experience Level**
- 7 to 10 years' experience in relevant or appropriate role in banking or financial services environment that has provided the types of exposure listed above.
- 5 years' people management experience

- Post graduate qualification in a business field such as commerce or banking or accounting or sales and marketing
