Responsible for high-level relationship management with clients. Serves as the primary management contact and client liaison during delivery of a professional services engagement or an outsourced solution.

Strategically focused and responsible for client satisfaction, maintaining client communication, and the overall management of the client relationship. Works to grow the client relationship by identifying new business opportunities. Drives team to execute on contract terms and conditions and works with the delivery managers to ensure on-time delivery of projects that support the client’s business.

Generally has profit and loss responsibilities.

Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Description

The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) is accountable for Service Management and Governance, reporting to the Manager, Client Services.

The Service Delivery Manager takes responsibility for the delivery of services to one or more of Dimension Data’s clients, directly or leveraging a small team of Service Delivery Specialists. The services can include services from various Dimension Data Go-to-Markets or focused on the offerings from a specific Go to Market.

Working closely with the Manager, Client Services the SDM is responsible for execution on the strategic, tactical, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve the objectives and key performance commitments, for Client Services.

- Facilitate the delivery of service.
- Develop and maintain service excellence.
- Identify and manage risks.

**Behavioural skills**

As a good corporate citizen, the Service Delivery Manager is required to communicate with competence, operate well in a team environment and display attention to detail. They have well-developed leadership skills and systems thinking ability.

Service Delivery Manager sets an example to their reports in terms of client focus and service orientation, and they are expected to be an ambassador for client satisfaction. These individuals continuously identify mechanisms for improved service delivery and manage adoption of improvements within teams.

**Requirements**:

- Business Relationship Management.
- Basic Contract, Financial and Project Management.
- Human Resource Management.
- Proven track record as a Service Delivery Manager / Specialist.
- Very good knowledge and understanding of an ISP business and service offerings.
- Working knowledge of ITSM systems, MS Office and collaboration toolsets and Power BI.
- Presentation Skills.

**Qualifications**:

- B-Degree, diploma or at least 5 years’ experience in Service Management.
- General management qualifications. (i.e. MDP, Senior MDP etc)
- ITIL Certification.
- SIAM Certification (Advantage)
