**The Role**

This position will form part of the Entersekt Research and Analysis function, which reports to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Your role will be to help identify and validate new concepts where Entersekt can compete and win, and eliminate areas where we cannot. This will involve understanding the financial services and fintech industries, the current solutions in the market, and emerging trends. You will have to consider strategic business goals while helping to design and implement solutions to real problems.

In this role, you will engage with the other functional areas such as Sales, Finance, Product Management, Engineering, and Solutions. You will also be engaging with our customers, current and potential partners, and industry stakeholders.

As part of the role, you will have to help with primary research and analysis, defining new solutions and helping to deliver them to customers. The role's purpose is to validate a new concept by doing research, building business models and, for those with promise, validate the solution in the hands of customers. The role will maintain a forward-focused approach to uncover new commercial opportunities for the future. Once validated, we need to get them into the product pipeline to be completed and rolled out to all customers.

As technical research manager, you will require strong interpersonal skills, as your projects will require you to operate internally and externally. You enjoy understanding and researching new industry trends and technologies, designing business proposals, and obtaining stakeholder buy-in. You grasp abstract conceptual ideas quickly and form a view of what is required to deliver this and calculate the value of the solution. You are efficient in capturing and presenting research findings and business cases. You have good understanding of financial and business modelling and have a natural knack for managing projects to get a larger task done. You enjoy engaging across the business with technical stakeholders as well as engaging with external clients and partners. You can think big-picture and interpret the strategic direction, to quickly assess and report on technology trends and you are able to influence and align stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**
- Project management_
- Co-ordinate and execute on operational readiness, customer management and deployment of initiatives within the CTO function.
- Engage stakeholders to act; serve as a source of guidance and advice to influence change; frame information in a broader business context to ensure close alignment between CTO, Engineering, and Product.
- Ultimately ensure initiative goals are delivered by making recommendations and collaborating with the business to ensure solutions meets the business needs.
- Identify and lead problem resolution for project/program complex requirements.
- Research, analysis, and conceptualization_
- Use innovative thinking to develop new solutions in our market.
- Identify areas to innovate by detecting inefficiencies or change drivers inside the financial services industry, though various mechanisms, including analyzing industry and market reports, emerging vendor, and partner offerings, known customer pain points and new regulations.
- Anticipate emerging business trends and regulatory/risk issues as a basis for recommending product, technical, and functional change, or operational improvement.
- Find areas of collaboration with potential customers or partners and write up business plans/proposals/concepts, seeking win-win deals for Entersekt and the customer or partner.
- Provide and co-create innovation and exploration ideas; help manage and prioritize these; define approaches to validate/qualify these concepts.
- Engage with new third-party providers and partners to understand their offering; define potential combined use cases or explore opportunities together.
