COFCO International South Africa (Pty) Ltd has an opportunity for a dynamic individual to fulfill a role in this Company.
This newly created position has become available within the compliance segment of the General Services Department reporting into the General Services and Compliance Manager. This role possesses opportunity for an energetic individual who has a keen interest in the various facets of business commerce and how to align a company from a compliance perspective against the back of the governing laws and risk factors within a business cycle.
This position would be ideally suited to a graduate who is seeking to join a successful company that offers long-term career opportunities.
Minimum qualifications and experience
Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
Tertiary qualification in Business Management Diploma or equivalent will be beneficial.
Demonstrated experience in MS Office suite.
Exposure to Excel functions such as filtering, pivot tables, big data sets, analysing, conditional formatting, V-lookups will be beneficial.
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience within a similar role.
Main responsibilities (key performance indicators)
Onboarding of new vendors/suppliers/service providers ensuring all company documentation is obtained for compliance and verification processes e.g. banking details, company registration documentation (COR39, CK1, Partnerships etc.), letter of good standing.
BBBEE scorecard verification - familiar with the procedure of the scorecard process per category, assisting with the compilation of the process short-term and long-term.
Exposure to legal processes around negotiation of Service Level Agreements.
Duties aligned to Health and Safety Regulations on a business platform and how this impacts the business. Sound knowledge of the process on how to align it in terms of compliancy.
Duties aligned to risk management on a business platform, and what this incorporates, as well as what measures to follow in terms of compliance.
Coordinating and managing projects.
Relief Office Administrator duties, as required.
Ad hoc general administration, as required.
Essential skills
Fluent in English.
Computer Literacy in MS Office Suite.
Desirable skills
Exposure to ERP systems.
Exposure to SAP S4 HANNA.
Certified and up to date with Occupational Health & Safety.
Grain and Agri industry and commodities trading background.
Competencies

Numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure while always maintaining excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Reports to General Services Manager.
Salary is market related basic salary with provident fund and medical aid benefits.
