Storekeeping/ Materials Handling Clerk

**Job Duties/Responsibilities will include**:
Compiles and maintains inventory of material received, stacked, and issued out to the production area
Works collaboratively alongside other members of the production accounting and production team
Provides high standards of quality whilst promoting, building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers
Ensure stock transfers are done correctly between locations using general transfer note
Verify the receiving of inbound raw materials against a valid delivery note
Ensure received stock are properly stacked in designated Location
Conduct inventory counts as directed by Inventory Supervisor
Ability to perform physical labour when necessary
Ability to understand all safety requirements and precautions, and maintain a safe, clean working environment
Ensure accurate stock control and levels are kept at all times
Eliminate the risk of rejected material being used for production and eliminate the risk of theft and unauthorized use
Provide accurate financial data of stock quantities
Update the MHS system for production scheduling
Ensure correct (issue/removal) figures are recorded (This will eliminate material usage variances and ensure accurate financial results)
Weighs incoming and outgoing materials (record keeping) and documentation is handed over to Production Accounting daily
Delivers direct and raw materials and supplies to the production floor
Grade 12
3 Years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Diploma in Supply Chain management or Certificate in storekeeping will be advantageous
