The Technology Services Manager is responsible for the strategic and tactical direction relating to the plan, build and operations of Technology related services. The position combines leadership and managerial responsibilities that requires in-depth hands-on technical expertise. This role will lead Enterprise Architecture relating to Infrastructure & Cloud Technology services ensuring fit for purpose enterprise principles, standards and patterns are defined to inform solution architecture for varying business requirements.

This role will be required to develop working relationships with key stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in developing the strategy for the Technology Services capability.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership, vision, strategy, and direction to the Technology Services capability within a global context
- Accountable for the provision of policy, process, and internal standards together with supporting documentation, templates and checklists relating to the planning, design, development, configuration, and implementation of Technology Services (i.e., on-premise infrastructure, cloud, network, identity and access management, end user computing and collaboration services)
- Function as a strategic and tactical partner who listens to understand the requirements of cross functional teams and leads the development, design, implementation, and operation of relating to enterprise technology services
- Forecast and manage the annual operating and capital expenditure budget to ensure it is consistent with the strategic objectives and aligned to the plan
- Implement and manage Technology Services in accordance with governance, compliance, and quality policies and standards
- Accountable for driving technology scoping, evaluation, selection and implementations
- Hires and evaluates the performance of direct reports and provides ongoing coaching and staff development
- Create a culture of continuous learning where the current and future technology trends are well understood to guide the technology requirements of the business
- Develops relevant metrics, measures, and publishes the performance of the services provided and enables continuous improvement activities
- Deliver projects within agreed scope, budget and quality
- Ensure that all vendors/partners deliver on their contractual operational service levels
- Accountable for cloud adoption
- This role will also be accountable for designing reusable solutions that are optimized to deliver a predictable total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Matric / Grade 12
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years’ experience managing IT Technology Services in a large complex/matrix global organisation
- 10+ years’ experience leading teams, internal and 3rd parties in a multivendor approach
- 6+ years of Enterprise architecture experience
- 5+ years cloud infrastructure technical delivery experience (AWS and Azure)
- Strong problem solving, management and analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of Server
- Network, Storage and Cloud Infrastructure (Azure & AWS), Virtualization, DR and IT Security
- Expertise in managing local AD, Azure AD, OUs, and GPOs is required
- Training or experienced in TOGAF 9, COBIT certification
- ITIL certification
- BABOK training/certification preferred
- PMPOK or Prince 2 training /certification preferred
- GDPR experience
- Experience in SOX3 or King 4
- Experience with ISO9001
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such an NIST or ISO27001
