**Minimum Requirements**:

- NQF Level 8 qualification in Management/Business Administration with specialization in Security Risk Management or Security related qualifications
- Grade A, PSIRA Registration
- At least 10 years’ experience in Protection Services of which 5 years in senior management/supervisory capacity.
- Knowledge in the security framework, crisis management at strategic and tactical level, investigations and technical security measures, conducting security vulnerability assessments, security operations management, including emergency and crisis management.

**KEY RESPONSIBLITIES**
- Provide strategic alignment of Protection Services and Traffic Control through development and implementation of strategic and operational plans on security and traffic.
- Develops and implement security and safety policies and procedures such as emergency response and crisis management, disaster recovery, physical security and incident management.
- Ensures financial and contract management through development of a budget for Protection and Traffic in terms of the University’s strategic priorities.
- Provide team & stakeholder management through strategic leadership and advice on protection matters.
- Ensures systems management by overseeing that the data are collated and captured to effectively manage the Protection services function, e.g. statistics on the number/nature of security incidents reported by campuses.
