We are a prestigious wine farm, Benguela Cove, nestled just outside of Hermanus in the beautiful Western Cape. Alongside our sister UK properties, Leonardslee Gardens and Estate and Mannings Heath Golf Club, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional experiences to our guests. We are currently seeking a dedicated Reservations Assistant to join our team at our main office in Cape Town. This role is pivotal in providing the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a seamless booking experience across our properties.
**Role Summary**:
As a Reservations Assistant, you will be the frontline of our customer service, handling telephone calls and enquiries with the utmost professionalism and efficiency. You will be responsible for managing reservations for Benguela Cove, as well as providing support for Leonardslee Gardens and Estate and Mannings Heath Golf Club. This role demands excellent communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to work flexibly across multiple systems.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Handle all incoming telephone calls and enquiries with a professional and courteous demeanour.
- Manage reservations efficiently, ensuring all guest requirements are met and confirmed promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns with empathy and accuracy.
- Utilize various IT systems to manage bookings, update customer information, and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with team members across different locations to ensure a coordinated approach to guest services.
- Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the reservation process, offering solutions that meet guest needs.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of all properties, including services, amenities, and promotions, to provide accurate information to guests.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in a customer service or reservations role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on quality.
- Problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing and resolving issues.
- A team player, willing to support colleagues and contribute positively to the workplace culture.
- Flexibility to work 5 days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays during core hours.
