**What We're Looking For**:
The Director of Brand & Product Marketing, reporting to the Senior Director, Brand and Product Marketing, is responsible for driving the marketing of the organizational and university partner brands represented in order to deliver to the organization's financial goals. This encompasses a comprehensive ownership of the product, its expressions and experience in the market, with a focus on delivering to the commercial objectives.
The Director, Brand & Product Marketing is a senior member of the brand and product marketing team and responsible for contributing to overall team structure, resourcing and processes to align its efforts to deliver the marketing organization's overall goals.
**Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To**:
- External relationship management - Build team capability for strong consistent partnership management. Develop balanced relationships with all existing and new university partners through a data driven, trust based approach, alongside Portfolio Directors and GM's, acting as the unified voice of Marketing. Build the ability to strongly influence university partners to follow marketing recommendations on comprehensive marketing topics through superior selling and communication capabilities. Manage escalation of issues to Marketing VP. Assist more junior team members in strategic conversations, develop capability and understanding of team members in terms of handling partner conversations.
- Develop cross functional comprehensive broader brand marketing strategies and own brand focused marketing goals - Identify strategic goals for the brand team to deliver into the drive effectiveness and efficiency of existing and new overall marketing strategies & divisional goals through the development, evolution and implementation of a team wide annual planning process. Work across the marketing team (i.e. Web-Ops, CS, E-Commerce, SEO, Marketing Strategy, Media, PS&R et al) to create alignment & support and delivery to these prioritised brand goals across the 4P's spectrum (price, product, place/ channel, promotion) with the goal of delivering greater value. Establish a critical communication channel between the broader marketing team and the brand team. Ensure alignment and support for these broader goals from university partners and the greater brand team.
- Develop and execute data-influenced product marketing strategies - Lead a team in creating best in class new course launches and existing program refreshments, grounded in deep data-driven insight. Empower the team to evaluate and learn from experiments and actions taken through ongoing monitoring of identified KPI's. Drive a culture of continuous improvement leveraging experimentation and learning. Serve as a critical thought partner with organic and paid marketing functions. Responsible for quarterly and annual planning, in partnership with Brand Marketing VP.
- Team leadership & management of the broader brand team - Directors are responsible for prioritization and delegation for their team, a critical role given the large area of responsibility and considerable demands on their time. Ensure the team is correctly resourced and allocated in order to manage workload and university specificities. Working closely with the Snr Director, Brand structure the team in order to align with the requirements from the organizational context. Manage five or more Brand Managers and Coordinators, driving them to meet or exceed established goals. Work alongside managers as needed to oversee university partner relationships. Ensure that these managers recognize and assess opportunities, and have the resources necessary to create solutions. Proactively consider opportunities to delegate tasks as a way to build team strengths and capabilities, scale the business and lighten demands on one's own time. Allocate coordinators' time to best meet the needs of assigned programs and universities.
**Things That Should Be In Your Background**:
- 10-15 years overall marketing experience, including time as a Portfolio Manager, Marketing Manager, Account Director or similar job function, either in an agency or corporate setting.
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA or similar preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in partner, client, brand or account management.
- Developed analytical skills & a bias towards data driven decision making.
- Demonstrated experience in driving strategy and leading teams at a broader marketing level.
- Ability to translate business objectives into actionable projects for self or direct reports.
- Strong background in project management.

- Experience with Salesforce, Google Analytics and Tableau is a plus.
