**_ Position Purpose:_**

Oversee the Transnet Property (TP) Strategic Workforce Planning, integrated Talent Management as well as Learning and

Development portfolios.

Responsible for the implementation of an integrated talent management policies, procedures and interventions across the

Transnet Property in support of the Group People Management (PM) and Talent Management strategy on attraction,

development, retention and talent exit.

To contribute in the conceptualisation, formulation, development and implementation of Transnet Property (TP) strategy,

programmes and initiatives that are aimed at ensuring a coherent, consistent and holistic employee experience and value

proposition, that is underpinned by positive employee engagement, inclusivity and diversity and will ensure that TP is

experienced as an equitable, diverse, inclusive and transformed employer of choice.

**_Position outputs:_**

Assist with the development of a comprehensive strategy for talent management across TP in line with the People

Management strategy. This includes input into strategic people planning, attracting and sourcing, learning and development

and retaining critical skills.

Align talent management policies and procedures for the TP incl. Talent Acquisition, Career development, Leadership

development and Succession Planning, Exit Management etc. by:
Obtain inputs from stakeholders across TP

Research best practices

Align PM practices

Implement effective SWP, Talent Acquisition incl On-boarding, Learning and Development, Succession Planning, Exit

Management processes and policies across TP

Implement talent management interventions (e.g. talent pipelines, career paths, mission critical positions, succession plans)

Assist with the identification of talent pools (employees with potential, and high performers) across the TP, and maintain a

healthy talent pool through interventions aimed at achieving talent retention, recognition and creating

opportunities for development

Assist with the identification of mission critical positions across the TP and align HR practices incl. Succession planning

Assist the Talent Manager in budgeting for talent management interventions across the Group

Align developmental interventions (e.g. competency frameworks, career paths, career ladders, leadership development

programmes, career pipelines)

Monitor and report on the implementation of the interventions (i.e. pipelines) and the impact on attraction and retention of

key / scarce skills across the Group

Communicate approved policies, and related interventions to all relevant stakeholders

Establish effective working relationships and networks with key stakeholders across TP

Liaise with the Regions in order to understand their operational priorities as well as provide assistance in the implementation

of the policies and interventions where required

Attend and chair, when applicable the talent management conferences/conversations and other key implementation meetings

to ensure that talent management interventions being implemented is according to the approved plan and that an integrated

approach is being followed.

Ensure the effective management of external stakeholders so that they deliver their products / services within quality, time

and budget parameters.

Employee experience and data analytics

Employee Engagement Plans: Interpret and translate TP employee engagement strategy and create the actionable

implementation plans, programmes and initiatives / interventions across TP for improvement of employee engagement in line

with the Transnet employee engagement strategy.

Employer Branding Programmes: Input into the Transnet employer branding programmes whilst researching and developing

fit for purpose employer branding programmes for implementation TP in support of the Transnet employer branding strategy,

plans, programmes and initiatives. Working in collaboration with the Subject Matter Experts in the Talent Management, Pay

and Benefits and Transnet Academy teams, recommend appropriate TP P
