General Manager: Talent Acquisition

**Purpose of the role**:
To lead the planning, development and execution of the Talent Acquisition strategy, practices, policies and procedures across the Group on a national scale, ensuring the identification and attraction of top talent to support the evolving needs of the business. The role reports to the HR Director.

**Education and Experience**:
- Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant (NQF Level 7) - Essential
- Post Graduate / Honours Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant (NQF Level 8) - Advantageous
- Registration with a Human Resource professional body would be advantageous
- 8-10 years’ experience in human resource and talent management, of which 5 years is in a management capacity
- Solid knowledge of Talent Acquisition Best Practice, processes, and procedures
- Good knowledge of Employer Branding and Employee Value Proposition
- Good knowledge of applicable labour law and HR legislation
- Sound knowledge of HR systems, policy and procedures
- Sound knowledge of risk management and financial management principles
- Good business acumen
- Driver’s License
**Key Areas of Responsibility**:
- Contribute towards the development of the Group Human Resources (HR) Strategy and Employee Value Proposition in collaboration with the Chief People Officer.
- Develop the Group Talent Acquisition Strategy, in alignment with the Group HR Strategy, for review and approval by the Chief People Officer.
- Manage and lead the talent acquisition capability and all related activities in the recruitment value-chain (Entry Level roles, Learnerships Programmes and Executives) on a national scale across the Group.
- Keep abreast of changes to HR legislation.
- Conduct ongoing market research on recruitment processes and systems and review of best practice standards and norms to contribute to the improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of the Group recruitment function and Group HR function.
- Manage and lead the talent acquisition capability and all related activities in the recruitment value-chain (Entry Level roles, Learnerships Programmes and Executives) on a national scale across the Group.
- Develop and implement a general talent pipeline across the Group, aligned to business, region and operational needs.
- Proactively source talent for scarce and critical roles, in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain the digital platforms and systems that enable talent acquisition on a national scale across the Group.
