An exciting opportunity has become available within the construction industry, for an HR Intern / Generalist. The position is based in Durbanville, Cape Town.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Matric or NQF equivalent
- Diploma/certificate in Human Resources
- 1 - 3 years’ experience in similar role in a Construction industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle
- Strong interpersonal & leadership skills
- Be patient, tactful, diplomatic, and approachable
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
- Computer literate

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Employee Relations:

- ER and compliance - Provide advice and support to Line Managers on employee relations issues
- Work closely with the Legal Manager on drafting and issuing of warnings, putting together of disciplinary packs and prepping Line Managers for hearings
- Recruiting:

- Drafting of job descriptions
- Advertising all vacancies on requested platforms
- Liaising with recruitment agencies/ partners
- Screening/ shortlisting
- Administrating pre-employment
- Reference
- Background checks & assessments
- Co-ordinating interview process and compilation of new starter packs
- Contract signing process
- Onboarding and Offboarding:

- Ensure that all employees in have completed the Induction & Onboarding process
- Exit process - Ensuring compliance with Termination SOP, facilitating the exit interview process
- Gather data from Exit interviews to observe trends and ensure relevant action is taken
- Report on feedback to Line Manager or Head of Department. Remedial action taken where required
- Talent Development:

- Manage, implement & drive a Learning Management System (LMS) and e-learning platform across the business
- Act as a primary systems administrator
- Partner with all Executives to ensure staff talent is included in training and content is loaded on LMS
- Employee Engagement:

- Conduct regular branch visits to ensure you are point of contact for HR. Initiatives to be driven as and when required.
- Payroll:

- Support the Payroll team with our clients Incentives, ASR, payroll queries
- HR Reporting:

- Ensure adherence to mandatory SA legislative requires e.g. - Take ownership of the EE Report, compilation of the Employment Equity Report. EE Committee meetings are facilitated quarterly.
