**Job Title: Surveillance Control Room Manager**

**DESCRIPTION**

The Surveillance Control Room Manager will be responsible for the operational service delivery of the surveillance control rooms nationally.

His function is to ensure that the standard in all control rooms within the Fidelity Surveillance Divisions area of responsibility is managed and that SOP’s is standardized across the board.

**REPORTING**

The incumbent will report to the Surveillance General Manager

**QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES**
- Compulsory:

- 3 - 5 Years supervisory experience in a similar position
- Surveillance (CCTV/LPR) industry specific knowledge.
- Surveillance monitoring fundamentals
- Operational Management
- Sound knowledge of Surveillance products and platforms
- Management of Multiple Off-site control rooms
- PC Literate
- Experience with a tender based environment
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and manage people.
- Must have a strong sense for attention-to-detail.
- Well-articulated with excellent writing and presenting skills
- Need to be proactive and be able to handle pressure situations
- Have a higher sense of accountability
- Knowledge of all monitoring platforms used by FADT which include: DeepAlert, Hikvision, Dahua (DSS),Vuma Milestone, Proof 360 analytics and LPR, Isentry, and Syntel.
- Good Working relationship with peers
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong networking skills to be able to build relationships internally as well as with external resources like SAPS, JMPD as well as Community Forums.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Own vehicle and valid drivers license
- PSIRA Grade B

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Day to day leading of Surveillance Operational team
- Responsible for all HR related staff issues
- Where necessary deal with disciplinary processes
- Creation and Management of SOP’s for various Surveillance products
- Manage SLA with internal and external partners to ensure that the service delivery on the required systems remain optimal
- Ensure process of onboarding of new sites are followed
- Manage the Benchmarking of new sites (Day and night where applicable)
- Ensure that processes are in place to effectively manage investigations on the surveillance platforms in a manner that is POPI compliant but effective
- Ensure that the procedures in place effectively align with the operational ground teams environment to produce and optimal customer experience
- Ensure that all systems are properly maintained to be able to maintain service delivery
- Plan and implement Disaster Recovery Plans between National, Regional and Community Control Rooms.
- Ensure reporting to clients are set up and done as agreed upon (Both Social media and Monthly official reporting)
- Manage Situational Control Rooms to ensure that Escalated events are handled with efficiency and feedback is provided within the system’s
- Collaborate between internal and external crime prevention resources to deal with active crime incidents and to proactively assist in crime incidents
- Support Surveillance General manager where applicable
- Manage overactive clients and maintain and optimal workload
- Engage in ad-hoc projects by supporting Project Managers to achieve project deliverables
- Identify and design required structures to maintain service delivery excellence Nationally
